Hey guys!
It's been a week since my last post, and I'm excited to share with you my latest special make, a tiny amigurumi toy.
This is just a quick post as the past few weeks have been pretty hectic for my sewing and crochet projects so I haven't had much free time apart from studying for exams and sewing/crocheting my fingers off. I have so many WIPs that I can't keep up with them all! I've also been itching to start designing a new pattern that's been floating around in my head for the last few weeks, as well as start a cute princess doll I found a pattern for.
(There are so many things I want/have to do but priorities come first, sigh)
But just for yesterday, I paused my looong list of projects so I could whip up something for my dad's birthday. (New priority time!)
Check out my little project, done and dusted in about 2.5 hours!
And yes, I finished him in the car :)!!
Ta-da, a mini Baby Yoda chilling on a keychain :D. You can see how tiny he is in the photo!!
(And I finally get to add more to my Star Wars Collection posts! I really should be more constant with adding to it - so look out for another post when Baby Yoda v.2. is finished)
For this little guy, I used Sweet Softies' FREE amigurumi pattern for a Tiny Baby Yoda. She freehanded it while filming a video, which I think is incredible because her version turned out sooooo ding dong adorable!!!
Check it out
here! (It looks wayyyy better than mine by the way :p) And have a go making one yourself! It's so simple and quick to work up and was a nice change from the bigger Baby Yodas I've been making because every part of it was sooo quick to work up. What a dream.
Anyway, I stuck Yoda (or Grogu?) on a keychain and ta-da, now he's ready to hang out with my dad's car keys.
So that's it from me today - a really short one, I know! - and I'll probably be inactive for the next week or so because exaaaaaaams are coming up and it's always priorities first, right? :)
Before I jump off, here's a quick update on what's coming up!!! (in no particular order)
- A roundup post on the teachers' gifts I made for this Christmas!
- A brand new amigurumi pattern, designed by me! (To be revealed soon)
- A pattern review of a design by Sweet Softies!
- Another life update post for the new year, and maybe a hidden freebie!
- MORE Speciality Amigurumi rounds!
(If you don't yet know about this, check out my post here!)
And there's always more to come - I'm forever adding to my long list of things to post. So look out for some goodies, and I'll be back soon!
Have a great November!!
All the best,
Ashlyne
